Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

    lb brussels sprouts
  • ½
    teaspoon salt
  • 0
    black pepper, butter

Preparation

  • Step 1.
  • Remove stem ends and discolored leaves from sprouts. Rinse.
  • Step 2.
  • Bring sprouts, ½ cup water and salt to a boil in a 2 quart saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Step 3.
  • Lower heat, cover, and simmer, shaking pan once or twice to redistribute sprouts until tip of knife inserted into brussels sprouts center meets no resistance, 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Step 4.
  • Drain well and serve with ground black pepper and butter.
